Managing partner, Andrew Stastny, is an experienced criminal defence lawyer who has represented clients in a broad range of criminal litigation at both the trial and appellate levels in Ontario. He has appeared before all levels of court in the province, including the Ontario Court of Justice, the Superior Court of Justice, and the Ontario Court of Appeal, where he has successfully defended numerous clients.
His practice spans the full spectrum of criminal charges, with a particular focus on defending drug and weapons offences. Mr. Stastny is skilled in challenging unlawful police conduct under the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, ensuring his clients receive robust and principled representation.
Mr. Stastny holds a Specialized Honours Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from York University, where he graduated at the top of his class with Summa Cum Laude distinction. He earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Toronto Law School, concentrating on criminal procedure and evidence. Called to the Bar of Ontario after completing rigorous articling in criminal law, Mr. Stastny has devoted his career to criminal defence, providing steadfast advocacy for his clients throughout his practice.
